Pantum is the newest name on this page and the one that changes the maths for a small business. It is a laser printer manufacturer that develops its own print engines and controllers rather than rebadging someone else’s, and it sells almost entirely into the A4 market — single-function printers and compact print/copy/scan machines.
The appeal is straightforward. A Pantum gives you genuine laser output — crisp text, no drying, no clogged heads if the office closes for a month — at a price that used to buy an inkjet. For a two-person office, a clinic reception, a school staffroom or a shop counter, that is usually the right trade. What you give up is the paper capacity, duty cycle and finishing of a copier, which is exactly why we also sell the other three brands on this site.

Wireless and duplex as standard
The DW models print both sides and connect over Wi-Fi, so a small team can share one machine without running cable.

Which Pantum fits your office?
Pantum model letters map neatly onto what the machine does. P models print only. M models print, copy and scan. BM models are the faster mono machines with bigger paper capacity. CM models are colour. A "DW" or "W" suffix means wireless, and "D" means automatic two-sided printing.

The mono machines take PA-, PB- or TL-series cartridges depending on the model, and the CM1100 colour pair takes a CTL-series set. Send us the model number printed on the front of your printer and we will confirm the cartridge code, the price and whether it is on the shelf.

Is a Pantum a sensible buy for a small Kenyan office?
Yes, within its limits. If two to eight people share a printer and the monthly volume runs to a few hundred or a couple of thousand pages, a Pantum will do the job for years at a fraction of a copier’s cost, and unlike an inkjet it will not dry out over a long weekend. If you print in the tens of thousands of pages, need A3, need a stapler, or need several people queueing at the machine at once, buy a Kyocera ECOSYS or a refurbished copier instead — we would rather tell you that now than replace the machine in a year.
Which Pantum cartridge do I need, and can it be refilled?
Cartridges are matched to the model — the mono range uses PA-, PB- or TL-series cartridges and the CM1100 colour models use a CTL-series set. We supply them to order rather than listing them, because getting the code right matters more than the price. Send us the model number from the front of the machine on WhatsApp and we will quote the exact cartridge. Our universal refill powder is intended for the Kyocera mono machines and is not a substitute for a Pantum cartridge.
Do you sell refurbished Pantum printers?
No. Pantum machines are new-only with us. A new Pantum starts at KES 18,000, so a used one saves too little to be worth giving up the warranty. If your budget is the reason you are asking, look at our refurbished Kyocera ECOSYS and Ricoh SP machines — they are built for heavier duty and start in the same price range.
